Lead Instructor

Remote | Part-Time

6-8 hrs/week
Based on experience

Be the primary instructor for our 6-week Digital Literacy course. Lead lessons, manage student engagement, and ensure course objectives are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach 1.5-hour weekly live classes on Zoom
  • Manage student questions and progress
  • Provide one-on-one support as needed
  • Gather student feedback for course improvement
Requirements:
  • STEM or education background preferred
  • Patient, clear communication skills
  • Experience teaching or tutoring (academic or otherwise)
  • Comfortable using Zoom and basic tech tools
  • Flexible schedule (minimum 6 hours/week)

Supporting Facilitator

Remote | Part-Time

4-6 hrs/week

Assist the Lead Instructor by providing one-on-one support to students. Manage breakout rooms, troubleshoot technical issues, and help with assignments.

Responsibilities:
  • Attend all weekly classes and assist
  • Manage breakout rooms for smaller groups
  • Help troubleshoot technology problems
  • Provide feedback on assignments
  • Answer student questions via email/WhatsApp
Requirements:
  • Basic tech skills and comfort with online tools

Social Media & Graphics Manager

Help us build Rise Hub's online presence. Create graphics, manage social media, and help with community outreach marketing.

Responsibilities:
  • Create graphics for social media (Canva)
  • Post to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok
  • Design course flyers and promotional materials
  • Manage community outreach
  • Track engagement and optimize content
Requirements:
  • Social media experience or passion
  • Basic design skills (Canva or similar)
  • Understanding of social media trends
  • 3-5 hours/week available

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need teaching experience?

Not necessarily! We're looking for patient, empathetic people. We'll provide training on teaching methods and curriculum. Tutoring, mentoring, or community service experience is a bonus but not required for supporting roles.

When does the first cohort start?

Our first cohort is launching soon! Once we've hired our team, we'll set schedule based on majority's availability. If hired, we'll provide at least 2 weeks of training and onboarding before classes begin.

Will I get a contract?

Yes! All hired facilitators will receive a written contract outlining responsibilities, compensation, and expectations. We want a professional, clear working relationship.

Can I apply for multiple roles?

Absolutely! Let us know which roles interest you most in the application. Some people work in multiple capacities if schedules allow.
